Top 10 Pieces Every Woman Should Have.. According to Jacqueline Benn Schuppe

I aked my always fabulous fashion director, Jacqueline Benn Schuppe to give me the top ten pieces that she thinks every woman should have.  In a matter of about a half of an hour she provided me with a list.  I was impressed with her quickness and she told me that she has had this list brewing in her mind for years.

Jacqueline is a graduate of The Fashion Institute of Technology.  She has worked in New York and London for a number of high end boutiques.  Her knowledge of fashion is out of this world and I had to have her as a part of my team. Ladies take notes and please comment and ask questions..

In short.. "The King McQueen"

Alexander McQueen Spring 2011 Runway

Although Alexander McQueen is gone he has left such an imprint on the world of fashion.  I remember when I first discovered his work I was struck by the art that is his clothing.  Every piece had something to say and it said it loudly with sickening precision in its tailoring.  How talented this man was; he will always be known to me as "The King McQueen".

Last weeks accomplishment!!

Last week I was a part of a wonderful charity event for people living with HIV/AIDS called "Tulips and
Pansies" given by Village Cares.  The idea of the event was to get a number of different well known designers and team them with a floral designer in which the floral designer will make a head dress out of flowers to compliment the dress that the desinger creates.

I choose Viktor Luna to represent Avery J. Fashion Consultants in this particular event.  We decided to go with a floor length black dress with a sheer back and the most beautiful bronze studded jacket that I have ever seen.. actually I've never seen a studded jacket like it.  The make up was very pale with a coral orange/pink eye and lip. The head dress was dramatically fashioned out of beautiful purple orchids.

There was a contest in this whole event to see whose fashion was the best.  I wasnt really mindful of the contest i just wanted to be sure that we sent something beautiful down that runway; and we did.  To our surprise our names were called the most beautiful look sent down that catwalk.  How incredible and validating that feeling was.  Here are some photos of the event.. enjoy!!

Putting it All Together

Through my love of fashion and excitement about beauty and elegance I am so happy to have started this fabulous company Avery J. Fashion Consultants; it allows me to be as creative as I want to be.  The idea to start a fashion consulting company came to me more than a year ago but I had to get my website together and tight in order to really start the business.  It was a long process putting it all together, from photo shoots, casting models, finding good hair and make up, photographers, choosing the right clothing to shoot, to sitting with my web designer Michael Stewart for hours on end trying to perfect my website.   I dealt with my share of drama before I got to the point that I thought it was ready to launch.

I finally launched my website about a four months ago and I have been blessed with an incredibly talented and growing creative team of Photographers, Designers, Stylists, and Hair/Make up artists. We specialize in wardrobe consulting, and personal shopping for individuals and business executives. We also handle style consulting and photo-shoot production for advertising/marketing, weddings, special events, and professional modeling portfolios.

I would love for you to check out my website and tell me what you think http://www.averyjfashion.com/
